The Case For The Arsenal Captaincy

I'm obssessed with the captaincy now. Here are the ones that I think should go for the job:

Fabregas: The spaniard is talented but beyond that, I think he is a good leader. He brings a lot of energy and since he plays in the center, it would be easier for him to call the shots. The added responsibility will also add to Fabregas' game.

Gael Clichy: He is one of the fiercest defenders in the league. He has already worn the armband on several events. I think he would be a good choice but I don't like the idea of a defender wearing the captain's armband. He would be out of synch with the other players.

Emmanuel Adebayor: I don't like the idea of a forward being captain because they make the game about them, but no one can debate the fact that the Togo international is an effective player. Maybe as captain he will bring a hungry element to Arsenal's game. Maybe giving him the armband will keep him from jumping ship next summer.
