Van Persie should have started as Arsenal throws away another chance to claw back Chelsea's grip in the title.

Van Persie's introduction Into the game today showed what a huge difference in talent there is between him and Bendtner. All throughout the game the Dane provided very little for the gunners in terms of substance and skill. Arsenal attacked and attacked but just couldn't quite put the ball in the back of the net. You can clearly see how differently the team plays with the Dutch striker in the game. That acrobatic volley he pulled off was one of the best I had ever seen and were it not for Gomes, Arsenal would have been back in the game even earlier. Today is a sad day in the sense that Arsenal lost the opportunity to get above United in second place and to be within three points of Chelsea. If the millionaires of Chelsea don't win the league at the end of the season, then they are simply the most inept assembly of expensive players in the world.
